Well--I hope everyone had a great January. It's actually been insane for me. I realize that some people are unhappy with the delays that have plagued me lately. I should get back to the 2 week or less turnaround time this week. All orders are prepared in batches according to what orders I get. I do not have a stock room full of pasteurized shit due to freshness issues. If anyone has a problem with a contaminated bag (This does happen occasionally, I can't have total control over bacteria)let me know and I will fix it. For those of you who say I don't answer emails I don't think you are sending your emails to the right place. Emails should be sent to SUPPORT@TENNSTUD.COM Alicia is my customer service rep. and she has been doing a wonderful job. Mike@tennstud.com is no longer used or posted to use. This has been the case for a couple of months.
I've got 200lbs of dry product going out on Monday, as well as pasteurized product. Acquiring 200lbs of dry shit with the weather we've been having is a monumental task. This business is not like other business due to the weather, as well as the stocking and freshness issues.
When I see a long time member like Agar being critical of me due to comments made by a dissatisfied customer(Whom every business has, no matter WHO they are) it creates a feeling of disharmony that makes me sad. I am about the unshadiest person you want to meet. I have plenty of customers on and off this site that will back me up. I can't make EVERYONE HAPPY ALL OF THE TIME and I don't know of many business owners that can. Most other business don't have a public forum where they are constantly critiqued.
This snowballing of Tennstud bashing weighs me down, but that's business and all I can do is strive for improvement, which I am doing.
Well--I've got to get back to work (which I do 7 days a week, pretty shady stuff).
Peace

The two comments I made in TennStud threads were: #1. Sad day, #2 ....pre-paid -->30-60-90 day wait is BS, not h/poo.
I have personally recommended your product to many. Plus, publicly stated your products are TOP NOTCH. I was by no means bad mouthing you, or your product. Truth is, 1/3 of potential customers are: Instant gratification types. Meaning, they want it yesterday. And, will "bitch", if their "gratification", is not fairly immediate. That fact should be at the forefront of a h/poo business plan. Otherwise, you get "bitched" at. As is the case here.
Other part of business plan should be. During the dry season: Stockpile & season an inventory to cover your "wet" season.
Your website states:
PLEASE ALLOW 7-14 BUSINESS DAYS PROCESSING FOR ALL ORDERS. Orders may take a little less or a little more time than that depending on weather conditions and business volume.
A little LESS time is obviously good. A month or MORE wait, is not good. And, results in bitching. That's just a fact.
At least to me, it appears, you have more DEMAND. Than, finished product on hand to ship. If true, obviously, you should increase basic stock inventory. To rectify those bitching, about shipping delays.
I'm retired, but stay busy for fun. I own a small unrelated internet business. Which sells a unique product & nets 1/4M a year Upon receipt of payment, inside 24 hours (excluding week-ends & holidays), item is shipped via courier (UPS, DHL, or FedEx) & customer is emailed the tracking number.
That way, they know when it's sent, it's coming, can be tracked. And, I know when it gets there. If there is a glitch, it's on the courier, not me. If it gets lost, or damaged insurance through the courier covers it. Never had one single delivery time complaint, over many years.
While your product differs. There is no reason why the customer service should.
At one time I contemplated getting into the Mush/Cult substrate Biz. I did not, simply because ~ given the customer service headaches. It simply was not worth my time.
But, in getting ready for it. First thing I did was provide for having: #1, 2 to 3,000 lb per week to ship. #2, Prep, packing & storage area for 40,000++ lbs. #3, Set up twice weekly on-site UPS pick-up, for shipping. #4, Customer auto-emailer of tracking #, once UPS scanned pick-up.
After all that work. I realized, doing it all was more work than I wanted to do. I then tried to bring in others, to do that work. Turns out, costs of having other do it all. Brought profit margin down so small. I just let it all pass.
So, I can relate to the BS you are going through. PS, have 40 ft forced air floor ventilated steel cargo container drier, for sale, If anyone needs one.

Hey Bro--I appreciate your response. I have total respect for your opinions and suggestions. Not to mention your knowledge of the science behind this hobby and all the help you give freely to those who need it. As you know we've discussed the uniqueness and obstacles involved in this weather driven business. I just got my feelings hurt a little.
Your response was concise and to the point and I appreciate the time and thoughtfulness it took for you to bother with it. I knew that you would respond and and glad that you did. I hope you realize at this point that I'm not a 'shady vendor'. We've both seen them come and go in the past couple of years I've been here.
I've only been doing this for less than 2 years and I started from scratch, and am still eking out a living. I'm trying my best with the resources at my disposal. I have a customer service rep. now and she is an immeasurable help to my sanity. I am progressing but it's a slow and laborious process with more than my fair share of setbacks.
Don't underestimate my respect for your feedback.
Peace-----Mike

LOL, it's all GOOD. Just keep on keeping on. Spring/summer, it should get better.
8 sheets of exterior plywood, laid over pallets. With 2 more cut 2 ft for a skirt, around the deck. Will make you an above ground platform to dry h/poo on.

Recently I gathered and pasteurized my own poo because you've been obviously backed up and I needed poop asap.
But...if you can get me the quote on 100lbs picked up, and an approximate date, I would greatly appreciate it Alecia was very helpful and promptly answered until I asked the when/price question, which I guess has to do with your back orders.
I had a problem in the past with an order, took about 2 months to receive, but I'm willing to give it a second chance. Help me help you
Thanks

I will say...
AFAIF had 40lb of your pre-pasturized Hpoo sit for almost a year now, to have it spawned and working like the day it was made.
Keep up the good work, even when you're down, you'll realize that the payoff of all the happy customers quickly outweighs the woes.

I've been saying this for over a year now . Buy in bulk and store it . That way you have it when you need it . I've used it after 6 months myself with no problems

I got my 20lbs and am happy with it. I know now to order a little more in advance but that is not a problem at all since your prices are quite reasonable. I understand that you do not control the weather and definetly appreciate your patience with complains and uncooperative conditions. I hope people can appreciate and share this viture with you. I'll be placing another order with you in the very near future.

a few hundred lbs at a time will save a lot on product costs and shipping (to a lesser extent)

the obvious solution common in the business world when demand exceeds supply is to raise the price- that'll decrease the volume of orders enough to let orders process faster and offset any revenue lost.

Supply and Demand Economics 101: Price will function to equalize the quantity demanded by consumers and the quantity supplied by producers, resulting in an economic equilibrium.
How very capitalistic of you Hippie3.
