Basic Setup

I have a blue rubbermaid 18 gallon container with lid with top cut out and perlite on the bottom.No method of heating is being used. Air exchange will have to be done manually by hand because I have no pumps or filter disks.Question: Wouldnt filter disks have an effect on the Rh of the container?Anyways, will this sorry excuse work?Thanks!

That would work fine indeed my friend usually drills holes an stuffs polifil in em for sum air exchange which by the way isnt to be used as the sole air exchange fanning is still in order here ,never used filter disc's but from what i've seen they would work like a charm prolly won't bother humidity enough to worry about it that much ,and if your humidity drops just spray the insides with a h2o2 water solution to keep it up where ya want it ,this works for bulk an casings beautiful ,but i have no experience with cakes what so ever.

You don't really need heating pads for your fruiting chamber. And be aware that cakes and casings like different RH's.

never directly spray cakes , pinns and mush dont like direct water spray. I had a semi diagonal plexi glass i would spray on that rested inside the tub, it was very usefull for fanning also.
