Hurry quick please answer within the hour!...JARS
    #651681 - 05/29/02 03:34 PM (21 years, 6 months ago)

I'm loading jars right now.Soon to be thrown in the pressure cooker.Last time I did this I wrapped tin foil around the tops but I know moisture got in because there was water under the tin foil. I was wondering if sahran wrap would work or if it would melt or fuck something up?Game plan number two is wrap the whole jar in tin foil???? Will that work or will it keep the jars from getting hot enough? Tape isn't a option for me cause all I have is duct tape and I know how that shit is when it gets hot {stringy glue shit comes off when you pull on it .
I'll check back when I'm done loading....All help appreciated.

Just make sure your foil is on there good and dont fill the pc with so much water next time. Halfway up the jar is more than enough. Covering the whole jar with foil will work too.

If you will it, it is no dream.

use the foil, it's widely used for a reason. just don't submerge , keep like the water level to the last two inches of the jars. And have it on a platform so the jars don't giggle.

Water is obviously going to get up under the tin foil..It's steam. But it does protect the jars from the water that condenses on the lid from dripping directly onto the jars.
