Humidity situation in incubator.......

I have built myself a incubator that consists of 1 rubbermaid container with 4 BRF jars innoculated w/ B+ strain and one 50 watt aquarium heater summerged in a 1 gallon container of water. I have the ambient temp. at about 79.3-79.5 degrees, the humidity however WAS at about 96% RH untill i figured out the the open container of water produced a lot of that uneeded moisture. Since then I have covered the container as best as possible and the RH has leveled off at about 85%. Does this pose a problem for my jars, or should I not be worrying? Any ideas how I can lower the RH without lowering the ambient temp, because i think it is a little low to begin with. If this does not work out I will be trying the alien tek incubator. I just had to see if this current one could be improved. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

humidity does not effect mycelial growth although it can contribute to contam growth.....

85-90% is a fine rH for colonization. Keep the temp around 82 F.

PF jars colonize just fine at room temp. F your incubator. Waste of time and a hassle. Yes they WILL colonize a LITTLE faster in an incubator, but who wants to deal with all that extra BS just to have their jars finish a day or two sooner? Is this a big race or something?
