Dead spores? failed germination? invalid medium?

Hi guys; i've grown shrooms before, but it was quite a while ago. I bought a 10cc cubensis syringe from deva ethnobotanicals, and inoculated into rye flower / vermiculate "PF-Tek" style...
its been almost a week now, and ulthough I was mistakenly incubating at 80F i've switched down to 70F now for germination. I still can't see any mycelial growth, in ANY of the jars.
I once ordered mimosa hostilis from deva ethnobotanicals and got no DMT from it; I Wonder if this website is the worlds biggest supplier of fake psychoactives & dead spores??
Anyone else used them? Or are there any other reasons my spores might not have germinated??

your post is probably gonna get deleted soon because of the forum rules, but the only advice i have is to get spores from one of the forum sponsers because they are reliable. or just wait and see if anything shows up, what strain did you buy?

Ive just sent em a fairly strongly worded letter; but TBH I was looking for fault in my technique, not in the spores?

How would you even go about that though... say when you popped them under the micro-lens that they didnt move or somthing? Only way I can tell if they're bunk is if they dont grow anything..:D

Go with Ralphstersspores.com. Just received a Cambodian syringe from him and I've got growth in my jars after just 3 days. Also, 80F is what you want to be incubating at. 70F is safer, but much slower.

I tried "incubating" at room temps in my drawer. It sucks.

Yeah I have, I didn't see much of anything (if any spores at all) under the microscope.
If they send me a syring that works, thats fine.
I've been reading all over the net about the, can't find any bad reports, just a bunch of hicks wondering whether those legal trip capsules work or not.

Spores have a tendency to germinate faster at warmer temps (fact) and FYI it can take upwards of 3 wks. sometimes for germination to occur. Bump temps up and have patience my friend. GL

Okay, well deva ethnobotanicals got back to me and said sorry, their supplier said it was a dodgey batch. So, they posted me my money back recorded delivery. Very sound of them.
One jar started to grow, but contaminated because it'd been so long. Good strong myc would have swamped that jar before the contamination even got going.
Im now gonna go look at spores from the other suppliers youve suggested. Thanks guys!

This is what i was guna say!...have the temp where you are incubating somewhere around 85 degrees...dropping the temp will not give you the results you are looking for..just give them a chance but make sure they are kept around 80-85..and just be patient!
Now as far as the company you ordered from i would reccomend like has aready been recommended here to order from ralphstersspores.com i have been using them for a very long time and have had complete succes with all of there syringes..granted i have been doing this for a long time but Ralphsters will have a amile on your face for sure!
