Psilocybe Cyanescens poisonous lookalikes?

Is there any poisonous Psilocybe Cyanescens lookalikes that grow on wood chips in the fall? I live in BC, and there is a pile of wood chips in my yard and every year mushrooms grow on it that to me look like Psilocybe Cyanescens, but I've never eaten them because I don't trust my judgment, and I've never taken a picture of them.
Doh!
So I'm just wondering, is their any dangerous lookalikes? Or have I been letting these wonderful mushies die in the frost every year?
There's none their now, of course, but they grow in the fall for sure and I think the spring? I will take a picture this year.

I live in the NW. near the coast, but not quite.
I know some actives can be found around where I am, but are not all that common. I've heard of liberty caps but never seen 'em here. Seen 'em in a place I used to live, but that's a ferry ride away. Anyway, I also heard liberties once grew in the school fields, but it seems they have long ago taken steps to eradicate them.

No one eradicates shrooms on lawns. What happens is that the land scapers stop using feritlizers when there money runs out and so they buy what are avaiable for the moment to use in certain lawns.
Many companies after a few years of lawn service, switch to their employees doing the lawns so they do not get proper fertilizers into them to promote the growth of both blue ringer species and libs and related species cf

Does the galerina that resemble cyanescens bruise blue? What's the best way to differentiate? (Cyanscens grow in my area)

I suggest you do a search for that paticular type, and find out. I Highly doubt it would bruise blue. as usually actives bruize,, not killer shrooms. However could b wrong,, thats why u need to... /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Hope this helps

Galerina, but you'd have to really not know what you're doing.

galerinas have rust-coloured spore prints. cyans have purple-brown.

The galerina and conocybes that these people are telling you about can be considered lookalikes. But only in the same way that a ford looks like a chevy. Once you know the distinguishing characteristics I don't think you will have any trouble with "lookalikes"
Learn to observe accurately. That is the most important thing. So many people fail at IDs because they don't observe carefully and compare.
Study, study, study... Hunt. Study, study, study...

Of your three posts, two were old threads. It is considered bad form here to bump old threads. Welcome to the Shroomery.

Uh, I'm not digging through old threads and bumping them... I'm just looking through the first page. I'm not the one who bumped this thread. But yeah sorry to bother you I guess... I was just trying to help.
