Wet spot? (BRF)
    #6499539 - 01/26/07 02:38 PM (17 years, 1 month ago)

What ive read about wet spots only talk about it happening in grain spawn... can u get it with brf PFjars? i think i might have one.. should i toss it, seperate it and monitor it, or??
it looks like a wer brown spot, a *little* slimy, could it just be excess water or something?

id take a picture but i dont know where my cam is.

i have little xp in growing, i'm doing pf tek right now but it too seems to have the wet spot you're talking about. water condensed on the sides of my jar and it looks like myc grew around it, sealing the water spot so the water looks kind of slimy and slightly brownish. it's not spreading though. i'm just letting it sit and seeing what it does but i don't think it's contam.

You cannot easily isolate growths from substrate such as brf or rye with success. Mold spores and/or bacterial endospores can easily contaminate nearby mushroom mycelium.
