" why do you think Hilary's being a woman is going to make squat difference? She got voted is as a NY Senator. The shock value of seeing women in government is long gone. "
Let us not forget the circumstances of Hilary's election. She was running against Rudy, a popular and effective mayor of NYC, a liberal bastion the likes of which can't be topped, and a two term Republican up against term limits. That gives him NYC. Upstate skews Republican and I sure doubt that too many of them would think that this carpetbagger bitch knows anything or cares anything about them. She was going to get killed. Drawn, quartered and her parts carted to the four corners of the earth and buried so deep Morlocks couldn't find them. She would have disappeared. But noooooooooo. Rudy gets cancer and has to pull out. Some totally unheard of schmuck gets drafted to run against the beast with the bucks and suffers a noble but vicious beating. Nobody on the planet would be talking about this hole if it wasn't for Rudy's prostate. And THAT is a 100% pure fact.
To all those in love with Obama, I can only ask why? The guy is a veritable sphinx who has avoided taking a stance on any but the most expedient issues. It is a long tough slog until the primaries even start and he is going to be on a pretty steep learning curve. I say he is going to step on his dick quite a few times when the heat comes on. And further, as much as I hate to say it, he is still black. My prediction is that the first black president will not be a Democrat. I'll go even further and say that the first female president will not be a Democrat. The problem is that the leery middle will look at mommy from the mommy party and think that's too much mommy. The party will look at the affirmative action guy from the affirmative action party and think that's too much affirmative action. Accurate or not, these are tremendous burdens for a Democrat to overcome. A Republican black or woman will not have such problems. And then there is the whole question that if they do get elected will they somehow be able to hide behind a "you're only picking on me because I'm a..." curtain when they get hammered?
Obama? No shot. What is he anyway? Hilary? Very little chance of doing anything but coming close. She's all over the map with her past positions, which is what happens when you only care about polls and not about issues. This is going to hurt her. The media will do it's best to get her elected but it will not be enough. She really is a reprehensible slug and stuff will soon be flying off the airwaves.
This is going to be one ugly election season.

i think hillary is too polarizing to be the president. the feel in washington right now is all about their favorite word - "bipartisan." the republicans know hillary wouldn't go for that. with enough money to easily buy her nomination, i think she'll get the nod, but end up loosing by failing to get ANY red votes.

Hope you are right, I loathe the CUNT.
Its early but it looks bad.
I think she has a lock on the nomination, despite the Osama Obamagasm the MSM is currently having.
She gets 45% of the electorate who will vote for any Democrat no matter what. On top of that she will get a huge number of votes from young women who would not have otherwise taken the time to vote.

Your story doesn't change the fact that voters elected a woman over a man for that seat in the Senate. Voters do vote women into the White House.
Anything one can say about it being, "not for the Presidency though", was surely said when the first women ran for Congress and the Senate and they got voted in anyway.
If she makes it through the primaries and into the Oval Office or not, it will be due to other factors then her being a woman.
Men have grown accustomed to female authority figures be it through their College/University Professors, Deans/Principles, Employers/Bosses/CEO's, in the Police Force/Military, Local and State Government Offices, heading scientific/medical research, Surgeons, Adminstrators, church ministries etc. I don't think less then 9 out of 10 over the age of 26 are phased by it if they ever were.
Last time I checked 70% of the U.S. population doesn't favor us being over in the middle east blowing the crap up out of everything as if it were "Coooool Dude! Did you see what that new weapon can do? That was awesome! Lets go order some more and see what else we can blow the fuck up!"

Even Republican men are saying, "Enough of the Juvenile Testosterone already and quit spending our Federal Budget like a gold digging whore over there, Mr. President!

Story??????? And no, they have never voted a woman into the white house. They have certainly at other times elected women to Congress over men. No shit. Just don't get enamored of the carpetbagger cunts chances. She has never faced an opponent. I don't think she'll get one in the primaries either but she will be absolutely fucked in the general. The grandest irony of all is if Rudy kicks her ass in the presidential. She'll bring up his divorce and he'll bring up her non-divorce. Bwahahahahaha.Quote:

I will stand by this prediction even if it becomes radioactive and I will stand under this prediction even if it is a ten ton weight and I will stand in this prediction even if it is an ideological prison and I will stand over this prediction even if it is a volcano. I'll even bet hard earned American greenbacks on it (In all fairness I expect to be dead before my daughter ascends the throne but SHE WILL BE A REPUBLICAN. dammit)

I'll say the same to you with her having no chance. We are both speculating. I say, she has the better chance if she went up against McCain and no shot if it's Guilani.

That'll be quite a show indeed. Imagine this forum in October 2008. .

I think she would trouble shoot that one ahead of time and wouldn't go there. If she does, he will let her have it no doubt. Supposedly Billy has been running around LA and Vegas with some billionaire playboy these days. Regardless, she'll steal the Right Wing Christian fundy votes away from him by saying she kept her marital union "joined by God" together and he broke his vow to God and is a sinner, or something to the effect of her being a better Christian. Then he can cream her back on the abortion issues if she tries to play that card.
Hmmmmmmm, what cards would Obama and McCain play against each other I wonder.

i think this thread proves more than most that we need to switch our focus from who will be the democrate and republican candidates for president and worry about how we can spread the word for a third party candidate who isn't a total pawn wouldn't sell their soul to get elected. we all know and need to stop kidding ourselves about which of the main candidates will be good for america, the fact is they won't be good for america if they are a member of either of the big parties. until we realize that we will continue to have shit subpar presidents who either cheat on their wives, militarize space, invade countries for no reason, don't listen to what the americab public says etc etc etc. we need to wake up as a country because all the main candidates spell trouble for you, me and our country.

I honestly dont believe Hillary will be the Dem Nominee, as I've said before.
Sure, she has what looks like a big lead in the Iowa caucus. But that doesnt really matter. Those people who vote in the early caucus' are mostly rabid left or right-wingers, not the actual voice of the majority of the party.
I think most of us think that Hillary, while personally attractive to us, is unelectable. I would vote for her w/out qualm in a presidential election, but I will vote *against* her in the primary for that simple reason.

I will be moving to Canada if Hillary is elected. That would be such a shame for women - the first female president of America only got her nomination because of her husband before her, who, by the way, was fucking a lot of skanky women behind her back.
Obama is sketchy as well. He went to a Muslim school when he grew up, changed his American name to something African, and has a lot of ridiculous liberal opinions.
I personally think all candidates in both parties suck. McCain will have my vote this year, though he is a little loopy.

Um, I don't think that is correct. I read other polls with Rudy handily pounding the skank in NY. Not to panic, my friend, he just seriously wowed them in California and is managing to assuage the fears of the pro-lifers and gun guys. Serious momentum going, although it is way too early. I'm getting hard though.
