To save your shrooms from being eaten by the larva, you must have your shrooms cracker dry within 24 hours of picking them. Put them in a food dehydrator at 95 degrees for 20 hours or less and you are good to go. The larva basically just dissappear with this technique.
When collecting shrooms in the pasture i recommend using paper bags for the mushrooms and then a plastic grocery bag that carries all the paper bags of various finds and species collected and seperated. The plastic grocery bag is helpful because during the rainy season the paper bags can get wet and fall apart.
If bugs are infesting most of the shrooms you find, i recommend first picking the shroom, and then blowing air into the gills as hard as you can. The bugs hate it when you do this and they will fly out of the gills and you are left with a cleaner collection bag. Sucks to come home, open your collection bags and have little bugs and stuff fly out into your house.
Anyways, If the bugs are really bad i will have 2 seperate collection bags, one for the shrooms in good condition and another bag for the buggy/maggoty ones. Or i will selectively only harvest the shrooms in the best of condition, and leave the rest behind.

Yeah, when it's wet out, i triple bag- two paper bags, one inside the other so that the water on the collected mushrooms doesn't seep through and tear the bag or make it all soggy, then i bag the two in a plastic grocery bag, and staple it to the paper bags so that i can set the bag on wet grass or whatever, and it stays dry.
Works like a charm.

At one point i had a really nice handmade denim bag, about 2 liters in size. I strung it on my belt, and it kept the caps in fairly good condition. Didnt have to worry about the caps getting gooey or the bag falling apart. Just had to make sure they didnt get crushed too bad. But I lost it last year, now im gonna have to make a new one. I might line the new one in some cloth this time...

Here is another interesting image i took of these two Shrooms:

It shows a dark blue stained stem and a light purple colored veil, along with a little straw-colored stick-bug ontop of the dung heap.
If I remember correctly, when i shot these images it was in a swampy area, shaded by mostly Oak trees. And there might have been 20 misquitoes biting me at the time of the photos.

Curecat, Wavy capped mushrooms of the P. cubensis are common at times, more so in in vitro cultivations but here are some iamges for you of South African Transkei race.

And here are two blue bruising cubes. One is natural, the single specimen is bluing as can be seen with an intense blue

The natural cluster of three can be noticed that the cap is already forming pleats which will open to a natural wavy cap, but they were picked for culture work for cloning purposes.

When shroom caps get the pleats, they tend to become wavy with age. Other families of mushrooms also have a wavy cap (Agrocybe, Galerina, etc.).
Sometimes even a P. baeocystis will become flat and wavy instead of just pleated.

First, let me say that i commonly get wavy caps, that the bugs most definitally dont matter. ive found mostly the wavy caps come when it is very hot and rains very hard for a short period of time, the older capps witch now have a cup for a cap hold water, bendint them untill the water is depleted or some fance shit like that

Not everyone likes eating bugs (maggots). Some will tolerate it in order to get high, others are simply too repulsed.
