Automatic Shrooms?

If you let some mushies grow fully like in nature so that they dump their spores or however that happens, will those spores in turn grow more mushies so that you can get an infinite supply just by using one set of cakes/poo dung ?

In nature you have an infinite supply of shrooms b/c the shroomies have also an infinite supply of nutrients (ie, poo or decomposing wood).

Theoretically you can do this indoors by adding more poo or whatever to your spent substrate but eventually contams will set in. And beside that it's just more productive to use new substrate.

Agreed. Your better off starting with a new substrate once it is spent.
