other than the obvious of just hooking the other printer up to this computer is there a way to network them
both of the computers are already on the same internet connection, and go through netgear router.. so i guess they should be on the same network..
i was just hoping I could network the printer as well.
any help would be appreciated.

If your computers are already networked
start-settings-printer and faxes
Add printer -network printer
Find it on the other computer and highlight it.
click next a bunch of times and youre good to go
the other computer will have to be on for it to work tho

To share printers, follow the instructions: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/honeycutt_july2.mspx
Of course, Microcrap's instructions already assume both computers are networked and in the same workgroup, etc...
This one is a bit more graphical...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814005
If you can find your way to parts 1 through 7 (thanks for not making any active links from part to part, Microsoft... typical...), they will explain how to set up the networking part, if needed.
