Panaeolus subbalteaus
    #649404 - 05/28/02 11:13 AM (14 years, 8 months ago)

I live in the northern area of south carolina and was mowing my grass today when i stumbled upon a small dried brown mushrooms with very very very dark blue gills, dark brown top and stem and dark blue on the stem.

I have never heard of hallucinoginic mushrooms growing just right out in the grass before (in south carolina at least). Is this mushroom edible or could it be poisonous?

closest i can figure is that it could be Panaeolus subbalteaus since they grow off grass compost in south carolina.

thanks,

andy

Have no idea what you may have picked but no psilocybian mushroom has blue gills or very dark blue gills.

You bumped a post from 2002!

I highly doubt that "lordpyro" even views this forum anymore. Asking him to do a spore print on mushrooms that were picked years ago makes no sense!

AS I noted in a few other posts,

Many are bumping these old posts form two to five years ago because they keep appearing ont he bottom of the page as related topics.

And then no one notices till after a few responses that the thread is old.

So It is not the fault of those bumping them up.
