How to answe the door.

If you are receiving items of questionable legality in the mail always answer the door like this. When the FedX guy comes to the door and asks if you are (whatever name is on the package, by the way Always use initials if you can) say no, you do not know who that is and say it might be something for your cousin (make sure your cousins not home if you have one living with you) and sign for the package. FedX has been known to sometimes have their packages intercepted by the DEA and if you never admit to ever ordering the package, you have a good chance of winning in court if you ever get caught. since you did not sign for it or claim it was your name on the package you are not tied to that piece of mail. as for your cousin (if you have one) he never signed for the package, you did. thus he never admitted that the package was even addressed to him. it will be an easy case to win if something does go wrong.

Good suggestions.
One more thing I'd add would be to wait.
Once you have the package in your place, simply let it sit there for a few days.
If you do get raided, you can easily say "Its not my package, thats why I didn't open it"
I've heard this before when the USPS would go in with the DEA on busts and plant packages in peoples PO boxes.

No safer than your home if it's under your own name.
If you've managed to register it under a fake name, it protects your identity, but you're in for a world of shit if/when you get caught.
Makes me remember a story about Owsley Stanley. He had a safe deposit box under a false identity, which contained all his ergotamine. He forgot the name that he used (the drugs probably didn't help). So, he spent days meditating trying to remember the name.

Great story, did he eventually remember it? I would hope so.

Photo ID is required.
For business, a tax ID. Or sometimes a Dun & Bradstreet number.

are you speaking from informed knowledge, or is this just a pet theory?
i have trouble believing that feigned confusion with the fedex guy is going to make a difference in the way this sort of thing would play out in real life.
no offense.

worded well, Even if you were to tell the post man, It may be for my cousin, Then that alone has created reasonable doubt. why lie to a fedx man? were all just dumb criminals in the eyes of the big men. TO be found guilty of a crime,, ou must first have it proven beyone reasonable doubt that you didnt do it, if there is any reasonable doubt, youre lawyer will make a charade, youlle listen to some jabber, and be out in 3 hours.

Not sure if it would make a difference on your 'legal defense' or not.
But when police do controlled drops with a fed-ex/ups/usps package, they use an actual officer in appropriate uniform of the delivery service.

Helping to support those that don't think any of the stuff listed in the original post would help, this was copied from a news article:
Quote:
A police officer disguised as a UPS worker made the delivery on Tuesday. But investigators took out the drugs and put in substitutes. They also added a beeper to signal them when the package was opened, and a special powder that would show [that the suspect] handled the contents.

Somehow, I don't think so...

I was three states away when a DEA agent dressed as FedEx delivered a package of money to my house. Housemate A was being investigated, and had sent the money in my name, without my knowledge (asshole). Housemate B answered the door, signed for the package. The first I heard of it was in the police affidavit. They used the money delivery to obtain a search warrant for the house, already had a controlled buy, but used the delivery to prove the "business" was based at that address = valid search. Didn't matter that I never signed for the package, or even saw it for that matter.

Well I had a friend that would never be home for deliveries leave a note on the door, then one time one of his customers came over a little early saw the box put two and two together and that's the last he heard from that guy.

Wow. If you're going to be dumb enough to send such a package to the house you're dealing from, I guess it's to be expected that you also won't have the brains to not have the package left at the door.
