cob web?

i have two fully colonized cakes. they have been colonized for about 3-4 days. one is seeing more white growth that seems to be standing off of the cake. might be hyphal knots could be cobweb. will the cobweb turn a different color? this will aid me in determining whether or not my cake is fucked.....thanks

could be fluffy mycelium....some strains have really aggressive mycelium.
Puerto Ricans especially!!!

if its greyish it's probably cob web mold.

you really should look at some pictures of the different molds.
do a search on "Cob Web Mold".

if you could post a picture we could tell you what it is.
