I agree but it does save tons of space and CPU time. I didn't know it was going to do that when I upgraded.

I don't believe it'd save CPU time to look up users and find their current avatar whenever one of their posts is read. It'd be quicker to store the original avatar links in the thread, which I assume is what the old system did.

Regardless, its not that important. I'm surprised how much faster the new server is.
