lemonade stand idea

Think about it, Location: 72 home neighborhood, park area and playground at the main entrance. Investment fee: $50 in drinks sold for $150 Setup a stand and signs, and hire a local kid to work your stand all day. Pay him in cash and free merchandise per day. Profits expected for a two month summer run: $200-500( per stand) Imagine having five or ten of these!
This is a way to make money, by doing so very little. With the right management skills, relivable stand worker, and invoicing, it seems crazy to NOT set one up.
Why isn't there drink stands everywhere in well populated outdoor areas? Let's look at the negative side of it: 1. Home Association may not allow it, or the fee may be too large to be worth it. 2. A business license is $50, which means following a lot more rules. Do you get one or not 3.No one comes and you go out of business due to lack of service

how about setting up mushroom tea stands at 72 different venues and travel while doing each one individually and then depositing profits to an off shore account? ; )pick a continent.

The purpose of having a local kid work ther eis so that it looks like it is run by a kid =D. IF you set something up that sold like smoothies at beaches that would be awesome, iced drinks would go down well compared to just lemonade.

I have 2 ice cream trucks I pay people to drive in the summer - it makes a metric assload of money once you pay off the vehicles. I think I got the first truck for $2000, it was faded and ran like shit, coolers were broken - I went to Schwann's, bought the product and some cry ice, and the blown fridges worked great as coolers. Can't overbuy that way though, as you have to sell most of what you buy each day.
Plus, it is a great way to sell E to little kids, they love the E.

I paid $6 for 72 popsicles that sell for $0.75 each - do the math, it is better than selling crack. Not to mention you don't die from using whatever didn't sell at the end of the day!

Nah surprisingly little - you mostly idle around neighborhoods and stop a lot. A tank cost $60 at $2.40/gal last year and lasted 2-1/2 days.

Cool Yeah, I need to work my idea a little bit, but it's shaping up to be an endless bucket of free gold. Nothing is free at first, as started it soon becomes so. I have several kids who would work for me, and be happy that I was paying them so well.

Leary_Ban, that made me laugh when you said you had ice-cream trucks because I knew a guy that bought a truck and started his own bussiness (we were all in our early 20's then). I guess he did OK at it because he had it for a few years. But the funny part was that he'd pull up to parties on the weekend in his truck with punk rock music playing full blast out of the speakers and a bunch of beer in the coolers inside.
