I decided to take a day off today and go hunting because it is in peak season and they are in huge amounts everywhere. There will be three locations that I will have posted by the end of the day because I have yet still to hunt at the golf coarse and the soccer field. This like your comming on a mushroom adventure with me. Enjoy
 This is at location Bush1(P.Subagaurosa)

Further down the creek about 500m, we come to the ferny location of the P.Australiana. P.Australiana growing in leaf litter 4m away from fern patch.
This looking at the P.Australiana fern variety, It seems to look like a totally different mushroom to the others but I doubt I could be blessed with 3 seperate species.
 P.Unidentified
About 30m further down we find the P.Australiana growing off sticks and Euculyptus leaves.

Yeah the habitat pics are awesome. People are always asking for the areas to look in, and showing what your looking for and what your finding is a great reference.
Great post man, I wish you took more days off! hehe

Beautiful pics and it give a great idea what you are looking at. Im not sure of the identity of that species - the characteristics of Subaeruginosa are extremely variable and ifound two mushrooms that were totally different growing 200 metres from each other that i would have sworn were different mushrooms - both with the same spores under the microscope. That being said - i think they are Ps.Eucalypta! They seem to display many of the characteristics, although i could be wrong. We will need to get a gill fragment and sporeprint to Workman and Teonan.

descriptions of all four species: Australiana: 1.5-3 cm caps - convex to subcampanulate, umbonate often with a short sharp nipple. Smooth surface, viscid when moist, often with veil remnants along the cap margins. Light orange brown, and often blueing along cap margin. stems 45-110mm long 2-3mm thick - equal overall with swelling towards the base - white to dingy brown in colour. Microscopic: pleurocystidia 22-33 by 8-9 u - spores subellipsoid to ovate 12-14(16) by6-8 u Eucalypta: cap 1.5-3.8 cm convex expanding to broadly convex to plane with a central shallow umbo - striate near margins - reddish brown when young, fading to dull straw colour - flesh whiteish bruising bluish. cant be fucked printing the microscopic details Tasmaniana is small with out an umbo and a white to yellowish stem - Subaeruginosa has brown cystidia under the microscope- cap 1.5-5cm conic to convex expanding to braodly convex with a small umbo - strongly brown and hydrophanous fading to whiteish bone - stems 50-125mm by 2-5mm - often hollow, strongly bluing, swollen at the base, surface white with greyish brown streaks - flesh brownish... These are from Stamets and are by no means definitive - i have found Subaeruginosa with strongly wavy caps - the same as those found in Western Australia
