I'm waiting for RONCO to get on the band wagon. http://www.ronco.com/index.aspx
I can just see the instructions: Dump in magic mushroom substrate. Fill water reservoir to full. Hit the "pasteurize" button. Once pasteurized. The magic mushroom maker will automatically cool the substrate.
Now, insert RONCO flavor injector, into RONCO LC jar. Suck up LC solution.
Inset flavor injector into top of machine, Push plunger down.
Now, SET IT & FORGET IT.
In 2 hours & 59 minutes.
Your magic mushrooms are ready to HARVEST.
If purchased to gather. In a package deal. Shipping is FREE. And, the RONCO dehydrator unit is 25% off retail price.
Sadly, the RONCO MAGIC MUSHROOM MAKER Cannot be shipped to California, Idaho, or Georgia.

Seriously... it wouldn't be THAT much more complicated than a bread maker...
Place substrate in compartment "A", casing mix in compartment "B". Insert innoculant cartridge and keep the water reservoir filled.
The gizmo UV/Steam/Gamma/PC/magic sterilizes or pasteurizes the substrate and inoculates when cooled. Check the substrate every couple days for adequate colonization, when ready press the CASE button. The top expands to provide room to grow and LEDs trigger fruiting.
Open the top and harvest!

I have heard the story countless times from my grandmother about how her brothers sent away for a "Mushroom kit" apparently is was a giant wooden box that looked like a coffin and was kept in the basement(No I didn't sleep in it ) Finally her mother insisted that it be thrown away, when they went to throw it away they opened it and it was full of mushrooms that they put up and lasted them forever.I have a bit of a soft spot for this story and have tried to press for more details but only one of the people who was involved in the actual assembly of said mushroom kit is actually a living breathing person anymore my resources have grown thin,so I guess I can just say "Mushroom growing is in my blood"
