Three or four prior attempts have gone green, ever since Stinky moved in.

We?ll see how this one turns out.

I?ve never used the oven before, maybe 325 is too high. I was thinking that I should go higher to make sure the core got hit. . .I accidentally cultivated mites ONCE and swore never again! Nasty.

The 325 didn?t seem to hurt anything

We?ll see, most of my attention is going to the outdoor gourmet projects these days.

yeah 160 gets the core after an hour for sure, trust me it works, kills the bugs, and leaves the good bacteria alive, to ward off molds.

His little brother was the same inoculum, made the same way, at the same time, and jumped off a lot more quickly. I?m convinced it?s because the cropping surface wasn?t recessed down into the box; I think you want to get it close to the level of the box walls for better gas exchange:

I am running a few pounds of horse dung right now. If all goes well it will be my first real bulk success. I will case it as close to the surface of my container as possible.
