I didn?t realize that Woodland Park Zoo was involved with Zoo Doo.
Damn local Zoo?s are out to make $$$.

Good question, this stuff definitely needed to be pasteurized. I saw mites running around in it when I first opened it. Oven at 300-325 for 45 minutes seems to doo 
Yeah, multispore. . .lots of new types of material to break down.

325? that?s a little hot for pasterization, that?s more like sterlization to me.
perhaps that?s why it molded up, you killed the good bacteria, and made it too easy for mold to get a foot hold.
now i know you know a lot more about cult than i do,
but i always put in oven for 1 hour at 160 degrees (inbetween WM and 200) then i let it cool, then i mix in a tiny bit of H2o2, wait until it stops making fizzing noises, and then add spawn, and put the lid on
i?ve yet to have contaime with this methoid, although i prob just jinxed myself

Yeah that is awfully hot for pasturization. Get yourself a candy thermometer and pasturize in a pot at 160-170. Pasturizing in a pot dont reek as much as pasturizing in the oven.
Now is this Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle??
