hello dear reader, i have ben finding large clusters of large bulbous gyms, with lots of blue green staining, growing on buried hard wood in rich soil. i have also ben finding small gyms, on logs, near yet above ground level, with no present soil, or bluing. Both big and small have same spore print, taste, smell, and color. the small ones seem to be a bit different tho, they have thin stems and turn darker orange more quickly, the pins open up at an earlier size than the large ones, the small grow in clusters of two to three and most singly. the large clumps of large gyms share a base, with up to 15 in a cluster, where the small don't connect at the stem, the large have tiny pins attached to the stems, the small don't.
well it would make perfect sense that the large clumps of large gyms are getting a better source of nutrients and thus are a bit different than the small, witch get less from the decaying wood, along with moisture levels. i have consumed the large ones and woo fun times. iam a bit hesitant to try the small only for the reason that in most of the pictures, (in books and online) i see the large, now i have seen pics of the small and do concur with my observations, but i hesitate to hear some feed back. if i did not fully believe both are gym spec i wouldn't bother writing this, more of looking for a second opinion on the small ones. thank you for the help, and thanks for all who share the knowledge that led me to this gymnasium, its been a gym gym jamboree out there, gym class is in, all thanks to the gym coaches.... not to mention the pan subbs in my yard after every rain.... ill get pics up soon, at a library at the current time, BTW living in TX now.......

well the ones ive ben finding are more orange, and some were smaller than a dime, after determining that the small and large are exact in every way, i tested them out and all good, i find that the gyms in pine forests dont get as large due to poor nutrients, and the ones on buried hard wood get massive, ......

well some had bluing, some did not, some were very blue/green, i collected about 1/4lb of dried gyms, n crushed them n mixed em, then carefully sampled them stepping up t a full dose over a week, they were fun, and no ill effects, i like them more then the cubes, cubes give me stomach pains,
i am curious about taking a large dose of gyms. i have only had large doses of cyans. for cubes make me ill, any advice for taking,, oh say an one oz of gyms in some lovely tea????? i wish to have a nice journey, lately light doses are fun but seem to be a waste, i wish for a strong knowledgeable tripp...
