Southwest Louisiana is poppin'. Lake charles and surrounding area's, check your spots! I just drove down a dirt road along side of a pasture, within 15 minutes had collected nearly 100 shrooms.
No kidding, just about every pile of shit had shrooms.
Can someone point me in the right direction with sporeprinting. I want to keep a few spore prints and dont really know what the safest storage method is, I plan on saving some spores until I can get furthur equipment for <w00t>'microscopic study'</woot>.
I know how to take a spore print, just not the easiest way of storage.

Well, it rained for 2-3 days last week, since then the temps have been up in the 70-80's with lows only around 50-60.
The last part of the week was quite dry, although I was finding cubes daily. The humidity raised to 100% for the last two days.
The weather is getting cold monday, so tomarrow and monday is prolly prime picking.
I've looked in several different locations throughout the lake charles/sulphur area and have found cubes at every location I have visited.

those are Amanita muscaria whoe's volval bulbs have been worn smooth from handling. without the volval features intact, A. muscaria can not be positively identified.

shrooms are drying out nicely.
I just went check my pasture, i have a few spots with pins poppin' up, looks like a flush of cubes.

out of all the area's I have checked in the past few days, I have found cubes.. infact, it is the ONLY type of shroom I have found.
What would be the best method of storage for sporeprints? As stated in an earlier post, I would like to save a few sporeprints for furthur 'microscopic study', and just folding up the piece of paper doesnt seem good enough.
I was thinking along the lines of catching the spores on aluminum foil, and first spraying the foil with lysol, then folding it up and putting it in a vacuum sealed bag until I get my microscope. Should that be sufficient for saving prints until ready to put under a microscope? Maybe I should ask this in the 'cultivation' forum? I was just hoping someone would know in here.

its supposed to get down to 38 tonight.. gonna be freezing all next week. prolly last chance to get some around here. im hittin' up one more field tonight. I visited a few days ago, but it was still way to wet from the rains. It should be dried out well enough and with the 100% humidity for the last 3 days, I think it's gonna be loaded.
Also, I shall be eating a nice fat 4 grams of dried tonight. I recently ate about 35 grams wet and had a nice strong trip, so I figure a 4 gram will get me going nicely.
