Thanks for the info!
Maybe you could hook 3-4 pumps, using several T connections to fordge a single line, then hook that doohicky up to the tube. Would this be enough to not need to fan, ever?

I posted this a few days ago but thanks for posting it again.... you also need to use the diffuser rod with it and a pump that does 2.5 psi minimum.
Its available for purchase at

Hey guys this is really interesting, especially after reading this Easy Humidity post that uses an air bubbler inside a 20oz bottle for humidification and air exchange. He says he gets upper 80s to lower 90s R.H. with it.
Here's a picture...

So my question is...
Does a diffuser rod perform the same function as the bubbler stones, only a lot better? Would it really be necessary for using in the tek shown above?
Also, how quiet is that 2.5psi air pump? I have one from the pet store now that is "ultra quiet" and I can't even really hear it running, which I need.
I hope this all works out, if it does I'm going to ditch my cool mist humidifier.
Thanks for making the posts, both of you!

Trance,
a 2.5 psi air pump is your normal large size aquarium pump. The diffuser rod, helps distribute the sterilized air, you dont put it in water, you hang it in the middle of the lid of your chamber, it diffuses the air through many small holes, so air is distributed throughout the chamber evenly, If you do this though remember it can pump clean air in all day but you have to exaust and pull stale air out aswell, Im trying to use computer fans in combination with air pumps and diffuser/micro inline filters.
From what I hear this is just automating the process and makes no difference because you can just fan 2 -3 times a day and be good.

Alright, so lets say I pick up the duffuser, the pump, and the ULPA filter. How would I go about rigging this up?

Good question, I'm sure I could figure it out myself... but I would like to see a pic or something to make sure I have the right idea.
Indicaz,
So you would suggest using your method with the diffuser over the bottle and bubbler? Probably so, but what does it keep the humidity at? Do you have it on a timer?
Thanks for any help you can give me, this sounds like a really good setup with minimal hassles. I can't wait to try it out!!!!

Oh Indicaz,
I wanted to ask you another question... I was wanting to use a computer fan for exhaust too. But do you have to use a computer power supply to power it? Do you just use batteries? Also I was going to place it over the filter disks I have covering my exhaust holes. Will the fan still be able to suck air out through a filter disk?
Thanks alot. I appreciate it.

So using the air pump, diffuser, and bubbler, how would we go about setting this up?
