Anyone know of any problems with this design? I am going to put it together soon and would like all the feedback possible. Thanks.

Right now I got cakes on the way, and have some quarts for casing colonizing.

And oh yeah, lets say I take out the perlite. If I use a cool mist humidifier, where would you suggest it go and how do you think I should go about setting it up?

If you are going to use cakes put damp perlite in the whole bottom. you want high humidity.
When you change over to casings.....I'd take the perilite out.....and just mist the sides.
If you want better air exchange use a aquarium air pump with a air stone in a glass of water/H202 mix....I use them and think they make a huge difference.
I never use the same chamber for cakes and casings.... either..... I seperate them.
I never have used a cool mist in a fruiting chamber......never really needed one.
I have a huge rack system that I just re-made....and it has a cool mist humidifier.....pics coming soon. I'm still dialing it in....it will hold 28 casings.
Good luck with your project!

Yeah but isn't the whole air pump/air stone setup used to create mostly humidity?

I never thought of using air filters to provide air exchange, intelligent. Much cheaper then air pumps.

No I am using an air pump. What I'm gonna do is buy a peice of tupperware, like the GladLocks that seal up and you put your lunch in. Then I'm gonna cut a few small holes in it and epoxy on hepa filters. Then I'll drill holes and push the cords throught each side (the outlet and the hose) and epoxy those shut. Then I'll send the hose down into the terranium and hook the outlet into a timer. By the way, do you know where I can get a digital timer that counts down the the minute? Thanks.

The bit with the computer fan exhaust doesn't seem quite right to me - You should never create negative pressure if you want your enviroment to maintain sterility. The air pump pushing air into the chamber (and out through the filter patch) should be sufficent.
Don't bother with the cool mist humidifier - line the bottom of your chamber with 2" of wet perlite (with a dash of H2O2). Attach a diffuser stone to the end of your air pump tubing, and run that underneath the perlite (or in a bottle of H202+H20).
Also, unless the temps in your house are extremely cold, you can do without the heater setup for fruiting. That is usually used in the incubation chamber to keep the heat at a steady 85 degrees. Ambient room temperatures in the mid-70's seem to work for pinning and fruiting stages.

Well I would think that as long as there is a hepa filter disk or whatever over the opening leading to the PVC Tube and fan I shouldn't have to worry too much. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong and I'll have to re-think that part. But I would like to find a way to exhaust the terrainium without having to open it. I don't think hepa filter strips are the answer.
