first flush

Hey guys, i just harvested the first flush on one of my casings.Lot's of shroomies
but they're all littlin's( 2 oz.'s wet) now i read somewhere in here that it was better to clean the whole thing off (helps it recover faster)there is still a lot of babies in my casing should i pick them all out ? i would actually need tweezers to do this.
also about half of them look like the caps are turning black what does this mean?
These mushies were REALLY attached I thought i was going to tare the casing apart. Some broke away so the stump is still in the casing. Is this going to be a problem? Thanks for your help

The small ones turning black are aborts. These are the ones I enjoy eating!! Also, you should be sterilizing your tweezers and then cutting everything out.
I would then re-hydrate your casing layer by goinjg out and buying one of the roseface spray head bottles. They will produce the neccessary mist needed to water the casings without causing sealing or scratching. Be sure to constantly move the bottle as your spray. And don't over do it. If you search the forums I belive there is a perfect guide as to how to do it exactly.

yes it is make sure to take these out when removing all the other ones
one way to prevent this is to spray the casing before harvesting that way its a lot easier to pull them out
