Stalled Pinning???
    #645000 - 05/25/02 04:25 PM (21 years, 9 months ago)

Well, my friend and i started growing a few strains in the mycro-bags (Ecuador and Puerto Rican) and all went well through the colonization process and what not. We made the transition from the 84-86?F environment to the 74-78?F environment six days ago, and the colonization was around 90% complete. Are the shrooms supposed to be pinning by now? Are there signs we can look for that would let us know that things are moving along the way they're supposed to be?

If anyone could help us out it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

well you should have waited till it was 100% colonized and then a week

then switched to new temps, etc...

then you would have waite 3-5 days to see pins I hear..

maybe im wrong.. everyones experience seems to be the same but different

when ya see knots in the mycelium and the you see little red/brown spots I beleive thats pinning.

If you dont see any of that but your 100% colonized keep at suggested temp range, high RH, maybe lightly very lightly mist... give some light a few times a day, exhange the air, fan it.... and you should see something

again im no expert so ya might wanna keep askin

laterz

Wait! That was very wrong. 90% is fine. Also the Rh doesn't have to be that high, and finally do not mist, leave the bag closed. I am not sure if indicaz noticed you said that you were using a myco bag.
