Heeey I`ve got the same set..... Here in Bulgaria they cost around 50 cents....But I showld warn you these knives are shitty, the plastic piece in every knife that holds the razor is soft plastic and fucks up very easily...after that it can`t be screwed any more....

Guess bying a knife set for 50 cent or 2 bucks isn't even wort trying it! Stuff like that always cost you at least 10 bucks!

I flame sterilized it a few days ago without a problem the plastic is actually pretty hard I think and doesn't seem brittle either. I didn't heat it to a red glow but definately turned the whole thing black with a 20 second lighter burn. We'll see how my prints turn out the razors are sharp I've used to cutting up some hash quite effectively too.
While cheap I wouldn't avoid this for something that is only going to be used occaisonally. For example I make maybe a dozen prints are year. This also could be good for gathering mushrooms perhaps or 1000s of other things hence the name hobby knife.

And they rust like hell. You can get a nice stainless steel surgical scalpel handle and blades from surgical supply companies, online or in person. Stamets also sells them at FP. RR

Honestly I think I'd rather get one of these just to say I have a "Mushroom Knife"! All it needs is a compass in the stock above the brush
As RR says, if you seriously want a tool for this get a scalpel...

I both...
a stainless steel scalpel and a stainless steel exacto knife.
I use the stainless steel exacto knife more.
You can find them...but they aren't cheap.

got the same set from the dollar store. it's well worth investing in a nicer set. as stated above, the mechanism for holding the blades in place fails fairly quickly.

I don't know if you guys know this but any scalpel blade that will fit a #3 scalpel handle can be held on a regular X-Acto handle
