one universal truth

Has anyone else noticed, that no matter what we say, and express in words from our limited language, no matter how diffrent of concepts we use, in the end they all lead to 1 place? Maybe im just paranoid, but there seems to be something i just cant understand, and that may just be 'existance' in general. maybe the question is the answer.

What '1 place' do you mean exactly?

maybe its not a place, maybe questions lead to more questions and never end. There is no truth, just an infinate maze leading to it.

Do you mean that there's no definitive answer(s) as to the 'why' of existence?

There can always be an answer, but not understanding. If there were no answer, the answer would be just that. But whether there is or not would be art of the puzzle in wich we couldnt solve.

I don't look at it as a puzzle or a maze, but as a mosaic or a tapestry of (apparently) infinite threads, constantly being woven in greater complexity. Sometimes it's better just to stand back and take in the beauty of it all. There doesn't have to be an answer (there may not be one). Enjoy it while you can.

I think that if there is any absolute truth--e.g., there is a particular state or "non-state" that awaits us when we die--it is basically irrelevant to us collectively, since there is just no way to establish it universally. I grew up in a Christian home, and I just got so fed up with being held to certain "universal truths" (like the divinity of Jesus, for one). If person A wants to believe that, that's fine. But the minute person A tries to pass it off to person B as "true," (and therefore necessary to embrace) and not as "what I feel to be true," things get all screwed up. I have a friend, a very devout Christian, who wont let her daughters believe in Santa Claus, because as she says, "It's not true." And yet her five-year-old will tell you about a whole string of Bible characters as if she just met them yesterday. Doesn't that crack you up?
I have some beliefs that I take to be universally true, but I know that even if I am right about them, I can't hold anyone but myself to them, because they aren't verifiable.

What would you do with universal truth anyways? If such a thing were realized, existance would be meaningless. We are flawed and a perfect truth, should one exist, would be ever elusive and incomprehensable. The idea, however, forms the abstract center that we philosophize around.

That's a nice way of putting it. Sort of like a movement towards, rather than an arrival at.

I look at it is a tapestry, also, but I think it is unweaving, instead of being woven, mainly because, that is the way I view it.
