Accidental Overdry Of Herb

We just harvested some budda, and let it hang in dark, then cut and manicured. Buds came out way dry so we packed very sealed and still very dry. Very cold here in the winter, that must have been the issue.
So with the exp I found here I took a tub (my shroom terrarium) and misted it and put the herb in and placed the lid on, no heat, just distilled water misted all around.
Think that will add moisture back, or will impart a bad taste? 2 hrs into it and the buds seem better and smell has gotten way better, the reek of fine herb.
Let me know if I’m doin something bad.

Put in plastic bag or tupperware with orange peels, or lemon, or lime! Whatever you prefer.

Lol, sorry I didn't catch the peel part, but yes It's a good method. I've found that if it is REALLY dry and you add peels, then it will become moist, but the nugs will still fall apart just as easily as before.

at the very least throw them in the vegetable crisper of your fridge for a bit.

Hey wormy, Misting it with water is not really a good idea. You can create unwanted mold that way, the best thing for you to do is to put it in some tupperware or something and add a bunch of lettuce to it, below the herb and under it, then close it and leave it until its how you want it. Lettuce is the best for this and I think youll be happier with it than water, lol, good luck RaS

Wet one or two ends of a Q-Tip & tape to top of a jar lid. Seal and remove when moisture is right.

nah, lettuce is what youd want to use, if not lettuce, then organics idea of wet cotton is good also, unless you want your herb tasting like rotting fruit.

Using fruit/vegs increases the risk of mold and adulterates the natural smell. Wet q-tip ends taped to top of jar=perfect.
Ra's advice with the lettuce is good, it works as well with minimal mold/smell possibility

Couldn't you use a big wet stone in perforated steel like a tobacco moistener? American Spitit do small ones which would work in a jar (I guess).

I had that happen once but caught it early and packed it in sealed quart jars and put the jars of bud in the fridge for a few days. Somehow the fridge warm/cool cycles brought moisture from the inner stem or plant cells to the outer bud and softened it all up. Might have been a fluke, but worth a try. I always wanted a humidor for weed.
