Fear the antlions! Only the mighty earwig can defeat an ant lion. Ants will die!

I thought it was pretty humorous, you can even get ant lions for it too from that place.

I used to play with those guys by the beach as a kid. Find the little trap then take ants and and chuck them in.

I used to play in them behind the highschool bleachers when I was a kid and my older brothers were in highschool.

That could be fun to watch.
It'd be cheaper just to fill a bowl with sand and buy a couple ant lions to toss into it, though.

I never thought people would buy them either. There are 5 videos that go with this, showing a guy using a cheesy steve erwin voice try to capture antlions down unda'

I've honestly never seen a doodlebug in person before, and Sim Ant made them seem like such badass insects. I loathe spiders, yet I'd like to own a predatory insect to feed other little insects to. Considering they live in the larval stage for 1-3 years that's a pretty inexpensive pet. I'm totally going to buy one next week.

I can't beleive I forgot to buy that!
I'm going to do it right now, it'll be awesome. I owe myself some sort of novelty pet or plant, and since it's either this or a "dinosaur plant" that can shrivel into a ball in dry spells and hibernate for 50 years... I'm going to go with the more exciting pet.
The dinosaur plant is cool too, though: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/8039/
( I just placed the order for the antlion kit ) Now I need to find wherever the ants in this neighborhood have gotten off too, there haven't been any trails on the paths next to the house for years, now (thankfully).

They really should. I still play it sometimes.
There have been a lot of pretenders since but none were as fun.

This reminds me of elementary school when we would find a "june bug," place him in what we called the "death pit" and see how many fire ants it took to take him down. Usually they would put up a pretty good fight.
