too much BRF in PF TEK? ANNO?

this is for anyone, but i respect ANNO's input since I used his tek for PF jars...

this is embarassing, but I never have done a PF tek, done casings and rye spawn stuff ,but I bought a HYDARPOD so now im trying a PF tek..

when I mixed the BRF and the VERM, to the specs that were described, my subtrate didnt look like the pics at all, still looked brown(verm color) , not the yellow color like in most the pics, I agree that my VERM is a little smaller than in the photos on the site, so I added more BRF, about twice the amount than was prescribed in the tek by ANNO, as my jars are seeming to grow well, no contams and almost done at day 14, could there be a problem down the road by adding too much BRF to the mix? if you need a photo, ill take one, but like I said they all seem like good rhizo growth..

Obviously there is no problem if they are growing well.

The amount of flour that is in the tek assures the correct wettness of the substrate. If you take more flour, the substrate will be a little drier, obviously in your case, it didn?t hurt.

is see what you are saying, ill stick to the recipe next time, so even if the verm doesnt look very coated, ill stick to it, but ya know how it is , in the heat of it, I'm shure we have all 'improvised'
