 Growing in my room question

My room has carpet and is kinda messy, i wanna know if the air is clean enough to grow mushies. I can keep it clean if needs be, but do i need to filter the air and shit? im thinking of using my closet...

I personnally don't use a hepa fiter setup ( lack of cash ) But the cleaner things are the better your chances of success. I'm assuming you'll be working in the kitchen to start this research project. At this point Cleanliness And Sterility is a must. Clean EVERYTHING MOP LYSOL to the point of being anal. You'll only work in there one night so do everything you can at this point and you'll be successful.
When you get to the bedroom things won't be as critical but like i said the cleaner the better(YES, clean the room)

Thanks for the advice. I plan to sterilise jars in the kitchen and innoculate in a glove box, but the terrarium will live in my room

you want your set up off the floor.....cause the floor is one of the places that has the most contams in your house.
I suggest putting a larger container under your set up....at the very least.

Well I have my terr on my floor, and havent had any contam issues.
Now lets talk about the incubator...its on the floor, and all of a sudden, im getting like 200 millon contams in these damn birdseed jars... fu#$$#(.

Im agreeing - both my tanks are on the floor and the tops get dusty!
It pisses me off so much, but my room is very very clean since im a fucking neat freak when it comes to my stuff and my room which makes it easy.
I got contams inside my tank and it hit all my cakes but that was because I put a contamed casing in there after cutting out the contammed parts and spraying it with h2o2 and the green mold was living under the casing layer! it blew I lost 7 cakes and a 3 cake casing
Anyways try to elavate your tanks

my terranium stays covered all day, with the exception of when i fan them.
will they still be ok?
so far i havent had any issues, even tho i got dustbunnies right beside the terranium. i know i gotta clean up. but its in the perfect spot where my parents cant see it
