Adrian Peterson will break in half the first time an NFL player hits him.

Christ, watching college players hit him makes you think he's got some weird mutation where his bones have formed of glass.

Basically, he either destroys a would-be tackler or cracks his clavicle.

Jeff Sarmarja decided to go play baseball with the Cubs today instead of entering the NFL Draft and playing football.

i dont get it, he would have made a hell of a NFL WR.

He's guaranteed 5 mill if he goes to baseball, he won't get injured and he won't have to do shit.

Colt Brennan has rescinded his statement of entering the draft, and Brian Brohm has decided to stay at Louisville for his senior year.

its a 5 year deal though.. he could make more than 1 million a year playing football.. i guess it all comes down to what he has more passion for

i knew about brohm staying, thats kind of stupid IMO.. he is losing his RB and several other key players.. including the head coach.

He lost his running back from the beginning of this year.

They did all right :smirk:

I went to school with Anthony Allen, their number two running back, real nice guy.

This happens almost every year when you have a player who's super-good at two sports, usually football and baseball, and he has to pick one.

They almost ALWAYS pick baseball, for the reasons stated above. You dont have to get hit. The potential for serious injury is much less. Plus, if wanted to go into the NFL he needs to be ready right now. He's really not that good.

With the MLB contract, the Cubs dont expect to him play in Wrigley field for probably 5-6 years. So he has time to develop and spend that 10 million he's getting...

Ther are other considerations too. Whatever NFL money he got wouldnt be guaranteed. They could cut him any time they wanted. MLB money is not only guaranteed, but theres no salary cap in baseball, so the earning potential is MUCH higher.

All in all, its hard to see why he would choose football.

Baseball is by far my favorite sport.

I dont understand people who prefer football or tennis; or, god forbid, NASCAR.

I'm not saying they're wrong, I'm just saying, i dont get it.

Because there's actual athleticism involved? (not in NASCAR, fucking hate that shit :argh:)
Because it's difficult to buy success in football?
Because football uses a half-decent steroid policy?
Because half of a baseball game is just standing there?

yeah, the salary cap is a huge part of football.. thats why there is no "yankees" of football.. they dont let franchises really happen.

i hate how baseball is a money game.
