mushroom furtilizers / growth additives?

are there any chemicals or furtilizers available that would increase the growth rate considerably? or are these additives only used in botanics and not in mycology?

an additive agar has promoted is vegetable-oil(cottonseed oil I think).. there is a thread about it if you do a search.. Seems to be working wonders.

edit: this is if you are doing bulk substrates..
