Possible Trichoderma?
    #6397793 - 12/22/06 07:21 PM (17 years, 2 months ago)

These are the best pics i can snap so you'll have to forgive me.

This spot has shown up in the last 2 days. The tray is isolated since it has cobweb mold covering the surface. I'm not sure what to think of this. Hopefully its all good (apart from the cobweb). Only time will tell i suppose.

Also how much of an impact does cob web mold have on a casing. As long as i keep hitting it with diluted peroxide it shouldn't be a problem right?

Ta very much.

Cobweb is not harmful, and will die with continual peroxide sprayings. Whenever you see the cobweb come back, hit that spot and the area around it. It should die.

Noooow.... what is going on in that first pic??? I can't tell if that is mold, blurry photography, or both. Is that gray stuff just the results of a shaky hand, or if that really there??

it looks like myc to me, trich usually comes up in distinct circular patterns and look like severe overlay, then turn green one night and ruin your next day

Here is a slightly better pic.

I think it is myc you know. Its fluffy/spiky as hell. Trich is usually flat or matted isn't it,if you know what i mean?

Hahaha, thats what was wrong!

I dunno if the mycelium growing is green mold, or mushrooms.  RR has a good eye for that though.

Keep an eye out on that growth. You won't know for sure until/unless it turns green. You can use the 3% peroxide straight from the bottle to kill cobweb. It usually only takes two or three treatments.
