what is Christmas anymore? "Jesus" wasn't even technically born in this month, which obsoletes the "gift giving" symbol, and now everyone has turned it into a ritual spoiling of our materialistic wants. I don't understand why we indulge to raise our children into a fictional belief of reality only to find out its some fictional made up story that the whole country partakes of, yet individually asked its mainly about receiving stupid man made devices and basing levels of appreciation(ex. underwear compared to diamond necklace) towards certain individuals! Maybe it just me, but I've had enough of what we developed of this "holiday" and we as a nation should re-evaluate WTF we are consumed of.....

...in all seriousness, i agree. it's horse shit. while the idea/concept of what should be christmas (time of giving, etc, blah blah blah) is fantastic, doesn't really work that way.

Now the concept of giving, and showing appreciation to others than yourself, THAT is hypathetically the true meaning of the holiday, which I think is probably the greatest thing to do. BUT! The problem here is, only during this holiday WE as a society deem it neccissary to show this affection towards one onother, but, how this existance is, we should be showing this sort of gratitude on a DAILY BASIS! We can't tell when our mom, dad, sister, son, daughter, bro, pot supplier, grandpa is going to pass on. When they do they should know that they have had the expression that they are loved, appreciated, thought of and remembered. Basing such an appreciation shouldn't be once a year. So much can happen then...

im getting more and more tired of christmas every year, but i have to go trough this stuff for the kids. Christmas seems to me to be just a trick to make people spend a shitload of money. maybe a priest and a salesman came up with the concept of christmas together, the salesman wants to sell stuff and the priest wants to sell his religion so what a perfect oppurtunity for both to do both. it brings more people to stores, more people to church and the concept has presents and santa claus in it so you know the kids will be disapointed if we stop with this. so we do it for the kids, year after year after year. it has becomed a tradition lol and kids should have fun, but i just htink they are overdoing it, they start with christmas preparation in school in november. it seems like it just starts earlier and earlier every year. i dont want to see christmas stuff in the shop in november. Its like time consuming monster that eats up all our time slowly, in houndred years we have christmass all year and its jingle bells all over the place.
Its not even a normal winter this year, its the hottest and rainiest december here that has been recoredet in 500 years (global warmin or whatever may be the cause for this) so its raining all the time here, flowers that is not expected in another 4 months has popped up. If this global warming thing keeps up maybe our contry needs to delay the christmas until february so there will be better chances of white christmas
So Ive made my own little christmas tradition, to have some of the highest quality hash or buds availble under this time, and this year is no diffrent. I figured if Im high the whole christmas it be sooner over and i might enjoy the christmas more.

its a tradition were we exchange things. in this day in age it has lost just about all traditional meaning in any sense and its just a sale gimmick. The marketing schemes revolving around christmas is just insane. How ever! I'll play along for the simple fact that I enjoy spending time with family I havent seen and drinking brandy slush!

I'm reminded of all the disappointed memories i have, never getting what i really wanted cause my family was too poor, and being too much of a spoiled American brat to really enjoy what i did get.
If i am ever responsible for raising some kids, we're not doing the whole Christmas thing..fuck that. Stockings are for your feet, and trees belong in the ground not the damn living room!
