Ok. I am almost ready. TOday at wallmart and Petco, I bought,,, I bag Perlite I bag of dusk masks (probably unnescisary, but I figured what the hell) One bottle Rubbing Alcohol Ony Styrophome container (To hold the jars) A DOZEN Kern 1/2 pint Jars Submersablen Fish Tank Water heater Spray Bottles And I already own a pressure cooker. I bottle srping water (I think this is the same as distilled)
The only thing I coiuld NOT find at the garden section was VERMICULITE (I have yet to go to my supermarket and buy the flower either...but i dont think ill have a problem there). My question is, is there a SUBSTITUTE I can use instead of VERMISULITE? SOmething that is way easy to find? Otherwise I have to drive a ways to a different gardening store, which I WILL if I have to, but Id rather not. ALSO, does all of this look Kosher? I didn;t buy a rubber maid container for my fruiting chamber, but I wont need that till a while anyway. -Scott

Look for a Home Depot or something... They usually always have Verm there.

I went to home depot, and they didn;t have it. THe lady tried to sell me a bag or Perlite, and claimed it was "The exact same thing", but I knew better (And already own a bag of the stuff anyway). I searched all around at Walmart, Target, etc, and I could NOT FIND IT. FINALLY, I called up Lowes (Is that what it's called??), and they calim to have it...although 10 bucks says that when I get down there, it's the wrong thing. Its amazing how many idiots are hired to work in fields they know nothing about. Anyway, now all I need to do is find some Brown Rice Flour. I am having problems with this. I found BROWN RICE, and RICE FLOWER, but no BROWN RICE FLOWER. I'll have to searh on this message board and see if anyone has asked about this before (Can I just grind up the brown rice in a coffee grinder or something, or is there a difference between BROWN RICE FLOWER, and BROWN RICE ground up?). -Scott

You know what's funny? People are wicked dumb, I was looking for verm today actually and they led me to a nice fat sack of PERLITE!!!! So, I stood there with this look on my face... and I said to the stupid bitch, V-E-R-M-I-C-U-L-I-T-E!!!!!! Not fucking perlite!! She seemed rather shocked and I soon realized that I had made an ass out of myself. I found the fricken verm though, right next to the perlite out of eyeshot. It really bugs me when people are dumb as dirt and think they are right on top of it all!

I always go to the local co-op when I need to get more BRF. Try that out, they usually have it there.
