I saw this and was amazed. This is the best Cobweb I have ever grown, it will be a challenge to get rid of it. If I am successful I will post the method. The mycelium is of the South American strain.

I always say, "Don't under estimate my powers." This casing was cured. It had both trich and web, but this new one is a bit intimidating.

Give 'em a good soaking for 12 hrs in 3% h2o2... rinse, let sit for 12 hours and repeat. Try to let them recover in a dry environment instead of the humid terrarium. While they are recovering, be sure to clean your terrarium with a 10% bleach solution or the cobweb will likely visit you again.

I think this might call for the Almighty Bleach Tek!
If you really wanted to try salvaging that thing, I'd say some serious pruning is in order. . .like an inch or so off the top, followed by a complete submersion in diluted peroxide overnight. Then maybe. . .just maybe, you might be able to recase or fruit off the 'core'.
It's better to have a blue thumb than a GREEN thumb, but that is really quite something you got going there
I once had a PF cake that I birthed with some others; it was completely white, I thought it was fine. Looking in the terrarium the next morning was the coolest [but disturbing] thing. . .the entire PF cake looked like it was frozen mid-explosion. It was radiating growth in all directions, like a koosh ball or something. It actually was an entire PF cake of white mold. Sometimes contams are cool.

The whole thing was contaminated. It seems the cake I spawned it with was bad. I buried it in my garden.
