a dead-end experiment?

watching the weather forecast yesterday(it said that it's going to rain the next couple of days) gave me an idea. it really is raining a lot since yesterday, so today i took a colonized cake , sliced it in too and put it along with some moist vermiculite in the abandoned gardens infront of my apartment block. This way i'm hoping i'll put it into the best natural conditions possible - LOTS of rain!:)
do you think somethink will happen? and if it starts pinning and then the rain stops what will happen?
btw, where on earth there is place with humidity as high as the one we are trying to achieve in the terariums?

Don't know, but I've put all my spent cakes by a riverside park (the conditions were perfect there for shroomies) and shrooms ended up growing. I never picked or ate them but your experiment might work. Sounds like maybe too much water on your way. Just make sure they aren't getting water logged.
