great minds think alike
thing is that several hundred per month, i would hope that I could bring the price down.
once the houses were spread out over the country it would be somthing of a national brotherhood allowing people to travel at their own discresion.

Oh sure, but the NY example is of course the most expensive one.
Still, any communal living situation needs a good infrastructure because if there's one thing I've learned about communal living is that most people aren't really prepared for its demands. One of the reasons college seemed so care free is that we had cleaning staff for the common areas...and it was still pretty dirty

Green house salad raising is a peace of cake!. Plant a new crop every week or other week, and you can continually harvest fresh greens. Have it attached to the main building. For gas exchanges. Our Co2 for their O2.

yeah, what would be nice, is if this city based commune was the 'home base' for the mobile city, which would carry people through out the usa to different urban communes i had setup.
The key is to have it be privately owned, and to get to that privately owned city that is so necissary for this whole project.
once that happens, all of the little concert halls can have a battle of the bands in their respective cities, and then bus all of the winners out to a giant festival in the city we had built !!!!
and of course each of the communes would be very key in implementing bio-fuels into the local communities, and day to day operations :P

isn't this like hippie commune living without the farm?
