I was looking for an answer All i found was social cancer Shrouded by the lies they preach to you
Jesus, can you hear this? You wanna know why i'm pissed? I'm talking to myself you know its true
A scam, a hoax, that preys on feeble minded folks Religion...suffocates you 'till you choke
You feel sorry for me, i feel sorry for you I wouldn't die for an empty cause like you do You can't scare me with hell, i'm free can't you tell? Can't suck me in with heaven , i've grown immune to your spell!
if anyone can add anything i'd love it...this song has a good rythem to it

there's no point in spilling your milk over something as silly as god
my mind is exploding in a symphony of strident yet seducing silence. a muted cacophony if you will. and it's driving me mad

i prefer some humorous and sarcastic blasphemy in my religious songs
Not all martyrs see divinity. But at least you tried. ... come down get off your fucking cross we need the fucking space to nail the next fool martyr
and yet some people, even some on this very forum, still think that tool somehow fancys our saviour.

Hmmm. Well bashing religion and bashing Jesus are two different things. I don't think that Jesus ever taught of an eternal hell apart from the state within a person. He used metaphores that borrowed from different culters views of damnation, such as hades, golgotha (the hill where they crucified people), valley of gehena (where there had been intense slaughtering in the past), once comparing the state of hell to a lake of fire... so which one of these is hell? All these different places are metaphores. He also said that the kingdom of heaven is within a person, not some place in the clouds as hallmark cards would lead you to believe. If heaven is within you then wouldn't also hell? The fear thing is tied to certain religious people, but even then you can't say that of the group as a whole. So as it is, the song may not make sense. If you care to learn more then check the link in my sig.
Sorry I didn't give you anything to add to your lyrics

I was looking for an answer But all i found was cigarrettes and alcohol You could wait for a lifetime To spend your days in the sunshine You might as well do the white line Cos when it comes on top You gotta make it happen!

As for the song... I feel that you are getting confused. There is no need to try to search for god in religion because we already know the common human perception which conforms to certain groups is usually lost. So look for a higher being or state elsewhere. As Mr Kite said, in yourself seems like the perfect place to start. Sit somewhere beautiful outside, eat some mushrooms, and ask love to show you love.

I'm sorry to say but your lyrics are flawed, you might have to start over.
Quote:
Shrouded by the lies they preach to you
People don't preach to Jesus, they preach in his name.
Quote:
Jesus, can you hear this? You wanna know why i'm pissed? I'm talking to myself you know its true
I hope your intent is to communicate confusion, because what you give us is a paradox. If he really is is talking to himself then Jesus cannot know it is true.
Quote:
You can't scare me with hell, i'm free can't you tell?
I might be off here but I don't think Jesus ever did scare people with hell. I think it's better to aim for the Christian Fundamentalists directly because you seem to be in a tangle between messenger, message and followers.
It might need some work.

This part made me think of Milli Vanilli. "Girl, you know it's true! Ooo Ooo Ooo-oo I want you-oo!"
