psilocybin and migraines

my friend suffers from frequent migraines and he has been sent all over the place from U. of M. to Chicago hospitals and they cant find a treatment. he has tried everything from methadone to morphine and everything in between and nothing works (it just puts him to sleep). i have read that psilocybin is an effective treatment for cluster headaches so i was wondering if it would do anything for his migraines. anyone ever tried this out? it would be pretty sweet if this virtually untreatable thing can be treated with something as simple as mushrooms.

ive read that mushroomz are used quite succesfully to treat clusster head acks..id figure imatrex woould work well alsoo being a tryptamine and all as well with mushroomz... i dunno i think im right

From what I've read, they can work miracles for cluster headaches.



Stamets also mentions a story of hearing loss being treated by very low doses.

i have a friend and his wife suffers from cluster headaches and migraines..

the only thing that has helped her is low doses of mushrooms taken about every 3-4 weeks.. somewhere in the .25g area.

I've seen success with other types of headache & neuralgia in my patients who tried low dose psilocybe. It is good. The link down there has a cluster article & summit report, but we know it really dosen't seem to matter how it is prepared - i.e. tea or whole food.

Definitely worth a try, even if they don't cure his headaches they'll cure his mushroom virginity.

yah but what if he was to dose, and then the whole time he was 'up' the migraines intensified.

I wouldnt dose him on mushrooms, give him some acid first - as I remember reading somewhere that it works well with migraines :grin:

I've never seen a report or had a patient yet where that happened. Use it like the cluster people do if you are worried that a high dose might make it worse. I don't think so though....
