many questions

I've been looking around, doing some searching and researching and i still have some questions. Any help will be appreciated very much. Some of these are ideas i've had, i don't know if anyone has used them, but feedback to anything would be cool. ok.. Can i make a filter patch bag with a ziplock bag and a cotton ball? Is this reasonable? Would it be ok to colonize brf/verm in a filter patch bag? I was thinking of trying dung not soon, but sometime. If i were to purchase a DB kit, would i really need the rye berry/grain bags? Could I use brf/verm patch bags? If i were to use a filter patch bag, and shape the substrate so that it was flat, could i take it out as one whole piece and case it that way, instead of breaking it up? What is the easiest way to control the temp in a perlite only terrarium? How expensive is coir? I've been growing for a year, but have only had one success the whole time. I'm looking at alternative methods now. ANY information is helpful. I'm really excited to be trying another time... i will not give up!

1) No, I dont think the ziplock could withstand the heating of a pressure cooker 2) Yeah, you can. Just have to case it, no cakes 3) Yeah you can spawn the dung with brf/verm cakes...you just need more because its mostly verm and not that much brf 4) Yep. But its much more benificial to break it up as it regenerates very strong and aggressive. 5)Blankets or some sort of insulation...Or an aquarium heater in a jug of water, making a light heater inside your terr. 6)Coir is very cheap. like 3 bucks for a brick. 1 brick = 10+ big casings
Just follow the PF tek ! 2/3 cup verm to 1/4 cup water to 1/4 cup BRF. This works great. I like this easy tek, its easier to read Simple Cubensis Growing Guide
Good luck!

hey when i was talking about the ziplock, i meant sterilizing the substrate first, then adding it to a ziplock bag. not cooking the bag too. would this be safe? also, thanks for your input!

Hmm Ive never really heard of anything done liek that before. You might wanna try, but, jars are really easy to find right now. YOu can buy a 12 pack for like 7 bucks man!
The only thing i would see being a problem is not enough gas exchange. Ziplocks do allow a small amount of exchange, but, I dont know how much exactly they will allow
