So the title says it all. Whats everybody's favorite Dark Star?
Well I love them all so it is a hard question in my book. But the one I would have to say the Rockin the Rein Dark Star > Me and My Uncle > Dark Star... The second half of this is simply amazing. Jerry fuckin take your mind through a loop.
Let's hear what you have to say.

My favorite is from:
Capitol Theater Port Chester NY 2/18/1971
Dark Star > Wharf Rat > Dark Star
The jam going back into dark star from wharf is named "beautifal jam" in the vault.

The one in 69 at the filmore is good, pretty fast I like the scratchy/ shaky beat thing.. Also dicks picks vol 2 is good from 70 or 72.

Yeah, Live Dead is probably the one I turn to.
Anyone hear the Grayfolded disc? Some guy cut up dozens of dark stars and mixed them together, adding delay and looping vocals, just remixing dark star for an hour. It's pretty bad ass. Can't remember his name...

that is indeed a sick dark star.
i'm a bit partial to the dark star > st.stephen that the dead played at bonnaroo 03, considering how long it had been since they pulled that one out. i totally called it on the drive down there, some of the older heads in the car made fun of me, saying "no way they'll play that, it's been fucking ages", and then - lo-and-behold - play it they did indeed!

Nice link shobi. Got it going now with that seemingly telepathic guitar/keyboard work...
This is a little off topic but one song that I get really excited about the different versions of is Sampson & Delilah. I used to have this cassette booter where the vocals were really high energy. If any of you know of any streams that include that track I'd appreciate it.
