Picture this .. Down on the Gulf/Bay of Galveston..
Salt Grass marsh as far as the eye can see.
Cattle in the thousands...
Cow Dung Everywhere all over the roads the sides of the roads latterly shit everywhere!
I looked and I looked but there are absolutely no mushrooms at the moment..
So I go into looking at the sights as I drive down the dirt road that runs along side the Bay..
The water is just feet away and there is not a sole for miles and all of a sudden I slow down.. Look a lil closer and there is a 9 foot Gator looking at me as I drive up.
He moved a bit but sat still long enough for me to get out of the truck and give him a look from about 8 feet away..
I was just standing there and he bolted!
Straight into a lil hole full of water.. Bam.. He was gone..
My heart was pounding out of my chest!
I was so blown away!
I got back in the truck and drive down the road a mile or so then I see this lil guy sunning himself in the road..
Well you guys know me and Snakes :wink:

Don't worry I will have him back in the Bayou in the morning.. I just had to get him home for a lil photo session..

WOW, pretty cool :cool:

I used to watch them regularly when I lived in Sumter. It's amazing how fast (especially the big ones) move!
The biggest move just like lightning, very quietly. Most of the time, you don't even know a large gator had been here just seconds ago.

Nice pic!! I don't think I would have got out of the truck if I were there...which is worse, farmers with guns or gators?

Very cool, ive been down there and seen the gators around galveston, very impressive animals!
