while surfing the web i came across a shroom site which attacks a florida mushroom spore seller.
can anyone here tell me if either of these people know what they are talking about and i wanted to order some spores but now I do not know who is telling the truth.

Well,
That page is MJ's page....he is well respected here.
He is a very wonderful person....I have met him in Real Life.
I can honestly say that pretty much anything MJ (Mushroom John) says is from his heart....or from real knowledge of mushrooms.
He lives and breathes mushrooms.....his whole life is devoted to mushrooms.
MJ has written several books on mushrooms and studies others works.
He has found many strains and brought them back to the community to grow out.
I am very fortunate to know John Allen.
He lives his Mushroom lifestyle in the public eye....he is not scared of what people think of it.....he has my utmost respect!!
Now about Mr. G
I really don't know the man that well..... I just have seen some of his posts.
He seems very disturbed to me.....but this is my opinion from reading his posts.
I know he has brought several strains to the mushroom community.
I am greatful for his contributions....I respect him for his contributions.
I have heard rumors about the man.....and I'm not going to get into rumors.
This site is about facts and correcting mis-information....not rumors.
Basically fastbut.....I'll say this....check Mr.G's posts.......then check MJ's posts.
You decide for yourself.
If you wanted to purchase spores from Mr. G
I say go for it.....the man has to eat just like you and me.
If this thread turns into a flamefest.....I'll close it faster than you can say WTF happened.

roadkill is right MJ is a great guy. I dont know him in reallife life roadkill might but that real-time chats I have had with him were a positive experience. He is a very experienced guy, confusing at times, and shares his knowledge with us all.
I have nothing against Mr. G. I'm sure he is a great cultivator but apparently he is on meds a lot and does some things that just shouldnt be done (Thor made a recent post concerning a rather disturbing matter).

Mr. G has been quite controversial lately on the shroomery, however I still order my spores from him and they're great. When you order one syringe the mail will usually show up and you will open your package and it'll be like christmas. He usually throws in all kinds of extra goodies!! Oh and how many vendors do you know that send you your spores before you send the payment?? He's always been pleasant to deal with for me!! I would recommend him! hope this helps

I say...don't let thier petty differences influence you, they are both genuine mycologists with many years of experience and a real love for mushrooms. I would definately deal with either one of them long before I'd deal with those who are only here to suck money out of people.
