 A little advice for a newbie?

OK
Please tell me what's wrong. I have tried to grow B+ with the basic PF Tek.
I followed all the instructions carefully. Im sure I did everything right. It has been a week since i innoculated, but i see no mycelium.
The only place i know i went wrong was in the flour. I could not find organic brown rice flour so i used organic rice flour.
Would this be the reason?
We have also had some cold nights, so i kept the jars in an insulated container with a jar of hot water. I know this is primitive but its the best i can do at the mo.

Could be just the temp. I've had jars last 2 almost 3 weeks before seeing anything until I got my incubator set up. Give em a little more time.

Yes, cold temps will result in slower colonization.
