ya! that yoda lightsaber battle was awesome! But i have a problem with it. he faces off with that grey haired guy with force powers first, and the grey haired guy says something like "we wont solve anything this way, the only way to finish this is with a test of our skills with the lightsaber"
So my question is: if yoda is equal to that grey haired guy in force powers, then the emperor is even stronger than yoda?

I saw Star Wars Today and WHOAH!...
I think that the only thing separating the new trilogy from the old is the focus on acting. The old was all about the Force and technicaly pushing the envelope with wpecial effects. Now everything is actors acting and being all in love and all.
Still the movie was as great as I expected it to be, the Yoda Light Saber batle lived up to and maybe exceded my expectation even though I was expecting it but the movie had one fatal flaw as do many highly technical films these days.. It had only one MAJOR battle scene. The cost of creating these scenes has to come down a bit for movies to really create an impace. Im just not that thrilled about one great scene in a film.

*DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT* The movie was really great at the point where they were going to execute the 3, those 3 monsters were awesome. The attention to detail was truly great, like the little robots fixing the window near the beginning. I think I want to marry C3PO.

Some of C3PO's lines actually hurt.. ie. "This is such a drag!" (when his head is being dragged along the ground). But hey, that's star wars.

The part were jingo fett died was a little disapointing. I mean, I was expecting some epic battle like in the last movie, VS Darth Maul. I think the old style lightsaber was kinda cool, a bit long, I thought it was a double saber.
Ever wonder how the lightsaber "blade" knows were to stop?
If I was in a light saber fight and i got dead locked with another guys lightsaber, you know, just pushing back and forth, this is what i'd do:
turn the lightsaber off, duck as he falls forward and turn the lightsaber back on, slid kick him (and depending on whether or not i'd want to kill him) stab him in the back. No one would expect you to turn your saber off in a battle, so it's the perfect manuver.

George Lucas sure knows what he is doing...
I just say a commercial for ep. 2. It consited ENTIRELY of the yoda lightsaber scene. Plus one snippet of the clones being air dropped into this dusty arena.

When your light saber turned off his would keep going and slice you good. C3PO was good I thought, you hear the lines and they are corny but that's exactly how he jabbered in the first 3 so he was right on charatcer

Hence the duking part. Simply, you're just applying martial arts to lightsaber battles. You want to use the enemys power against him. In this case, his own forward force to knock him off balance.

Fucking amazing movie, so glad to see Lucas blow us all away again after a lackluster Episode 1.

It gave me a good feeling to see C3PO and R2D2 together again, somehow it brought back the feeling of the first trilogy.
Next release is schedualed for May 2005. Natalie portman will develope a little more and hopefully show much more skin.

I saw the movie a couple days ago. I loved it. Natalie Portman is so cute. This was definately better than episode 1.
