isnt is awesome when you compare the ecliptic path of the sun with that of the moon? The sun's ecliptic path does change over the course of the year, but the moon's changes so much more.
not only is the moon's orbit at an angle to the equater of the earth, but that orbit spins too. kind of a mind-blow. but hey, that explains eclipses.
edit: anyone have the song Robert Miles - Full Moon? i cant find it anywhere, i was wondering if you could attach it to this post.

Hey Gang, here's the best of many pics I took with our digital SLR. Taken with a 300mm telephoto lens, 1/80 @f16. I tweaked the midrange grays in photoshop just a bit to bring out some more contrast. Out of about two dozen, this was the best :-)

yeah, to get the most contrast you really gotta tint the lense. It's just tooo darn bright.
nice pic tho.
My favorite moon photography is a zoom of the edge, because you can actually see the shadows in craters, and the height of the mountains.

cool pic, Jim.
I was out the night before the full moon (3 nights ago) with my dog. I decided to use my skates and have her follow me. We were travelling along the golf course path and her leash got snagged and her collar was ripped off. The cool thing was that she started following me by herself (somethign she has never done before as a 7 year old beagle). So I thought that I would expirement. I skated along, up and down hills, and she kept following at her own pace. We ended up resting and I took my skates off. Before you know it, we were running up and down the fairways of the golf course. It was fun because she is a hunting dog and knows how to run in a pack. She will cut in front of me or behind me so that we can zig zag around eachother as if racing, which gives both of us more motivated to go fast. I was laughing as we were running, just considering how cool it was to be out there with my dog, under the moonlight, with the wind blowing. I live on Oahu, btw. =) At the end, I decided to roll down this hill while laying down and I ended up rolling all the way across the fairway underneath some big old trees (even across flat ground I still felt the urge to roll.. I was hyped up). Then I just stopped and layed there for an hour with Kami.. half awake, half asleep, moon overheard, trees blowing in the wind. It was fun.
I always try to adventure in the moonlight. Very few people are out, which is nice because there are no distractions.. just me and nature and Kami. =)

I was driving home on the backroads and turned my headlights off. I could see just fine by the moonlight. Pretty awesome. I love bright nights like this.

One time.. about 6 monhts ago.. there was a blood moon. I told the people I was hanging out with, "you know that red circle around the moon means that someone was killed tonight." Pretty much right after I said that, this helicopter flies in and all these fire trucks and ambulances. Somebody got sucked out in the ocean and drowned. They were on their honeymoon right after getting married.
