fallen and can't get up
    #634047 - 05/17/02 08:54 AM (16 years, 9 days ago)

i had one of my little mushie friends fall over into his casing. I think it might have been because i left the light on for a few days.. he grew towards it.. then i turned it off. He headed into the 50/50 + but i found him today being pushed up by some mycelum. The veil had broken slightly though. So i decided for a few minutes and decided to pull him out. Is that the right thing to do? The whole casing looks wonderful.

He's only about an 1" to 1 1/2" long.. the cap is about 1 cm across thgouh. not very big, but i heard this is a common occurance with SOS tek? Should i be expecting harvest at a couple inches?

thanks

Generally, you want to pick the fruits before the veil breaks regardless of the situation. If you have maturing mushrooms, pick them. You did what you should have. I'm not experienced with casing, so I can't help you with flushing questions.
